Description of Practice:
Mr. Fewell is Of Counsel to the Firm and focuses on complex commercial and business litigation, and insurance defense and coverage matters. Mr. Fewell is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Vermont, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Vermont, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Mr. Fewell has a broad range of experience in dispute resolution, including trials, arbitrations and mediations.
Mr. Fewell is a regular lecturer and author on current commercial, business, and insurance litigation practice, and recently published an article entitled, “Vermont’s Implied Covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing in Commercial Contracts,” in the Summer, 2010, Vermont Bar Journal. Mr. Fewell has represented clients in recent published decisions including In re Chittenden Solid Waste District, 2007 VT 28, 182 Vt. 38, 928 A.2d 1183, and Cody v. Cody, 2005 VT 116, 179 Vt. 90, 889 A.2d 733.
Prior Experience:
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Fewell was a Partner with Burak, Anderson & Melloni, PLC, in its litigation practice group. In 2002, Mr. Fewell served as law clerk for the Hon. Terrence F. McVerry, United States District Judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
