Litigation Practice Assistant

Dinse P.C., a law firm in downtown Burlington, Vermont is looking for a litigation practice assistant. This position performs a variety of administrative support duties, substantive case-related organization and review of documentary evidence, with an opportunity for long-term growth into a paralegal role. Responsibilities include: communicating effectively, courteously and professionally with clients, attorneys, staff and peers; and prioritizing, managing and following through on multiple projects.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a professional environment, extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, and experience with editing and formatting documents. Experience with legal software is a plus. This position requires a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn and acquire new skills.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s degree or a minimum of three years of experience working in a professional services organization. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), and incredible views of Lake Champlain!

Entry to Mid-level Associate

Dinse, P.C., is offering an entry to mid-level associate the exceptional opportunity to join the firm’s busy and sophisticated trusts and estates practice. 0-3 years experience. The individual hired for this position will work closely with the partners in the firm’s trusts and estate practice and will gain experience and responsibility for drafting various trusts, administration of trusts and probate estates, charitable plans, estate and tax plans, and interactions with clients.  Applicants should have a strong academic background, excellent writing skills, and the desire and aptitude to grow into and manage a practice which is highly client-centered.  Educational background in estate/gift tax matters and income tax required.  Legal and non-legal experience in tax and demonstrated client relations a plus.
