Nolan Presenting at Title IX Compliance Conferences

On November 9 and 10, 2011 in Philadelphia, Jeff Nolan of Dinse’s Higher Education Practice Group will be presenting at the second of several conferences on “Navigating Legal Issues Under OCR’s 2011 Dear Colleague Letter.”. The conference focuses on what colleges and universities need to know to handle sexual harassment and sexual violence issues on campus, in light of recent guidance from the U.S. Department of Education. The curriculum, which was first presented in Boston on September 20 and 21, was co-developed and co-presented by DKM and Margolis, Healy & Associates. Dinse Attorneys Participate in Higher Education Conference

On October 16, 17 and 18, 2011, Jeff Nolan and Sophie Zdatny of the firm’s Higher Education Practice Group participated in presentations at the University of Vermont’s Legal Issues in Higher Education Conference, which drew higher education administrators and attorneys from across the United States. Nolan and Zdatny co-presented the conference-opening general session to 300+ attendees regarding “Campus Threat Assessment and Management in 2011: What You Need to Know Now”, Nolan co-presented a session on “Emerging Legal and Scientific Issues Under the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act,” and Nolan co-presented a session on “What You Need to Know About the Attorney-Client Privilege”.
