Our Capabilities
Immigration
We are dedicated to acting as a champion for each client’s cause, bringing a unique combination of global and personal perspectives to reach comprehensive and compassionate resolutions.
Overview
We serve as legal advisors to institutions, businesses, general counsel and defense counsel on immigration matters, supporting compliance and seeking practical solutions to immigration issues. We strive to deliver attentive, agile and proactive counsel throughout the rapidly changing immigration climate and the commensurate changes in regulation and enforcement, handling the details so that each client can get on with their daily work. We offer exceptional depth in immigration issues affecting educational institutions and are a key resource for The National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) and its member institutions on keeping abreast of changes in immigration law.
For clients that don’t employ immigration staff in-house, we provide a full range of support including answering routine questions, developing policy, analyzing scenarios presenting immigration issues and handling immigration cases. For clients with in-house immigration staff, we provide guidance and legal analysis as needed in new or complex matters, or sensitive matters for which legal counsel lends additional precaution for institutional decision makers. We offer immigration regulatory compliance support and immigration services management for employment of international personnel at educational institutions, healthcare facilities, businesses and nonprofit employers. For clients in education, we support international student and scholar services at colleges, universities and private primary and secondary schools.
Dinse provides strategic guidance and representation for employers regarding I-9 audits, worksite enforcement actions or investigations by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Our team helps employers, educational institutions, and other organizations maintain compliance with immigration law, and prepare for and respond effectively to ICE enforcement activity at the workplace. We work closely with leadership, in-house counsel and human resources professionals, to prepare policies and protocols, self-audit I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification records, train staff, and navigate workplace enforcement actions.
