My Background
Nicole Andreson, a former state prosecutor, is the Chair of Dinse’s Litigation Group. Ms. Andreson focuses her practice on defending hospitals and physicians in professional malpractice actions in state and federal courts. She regularly represents institutions and organizations in cases involving catastrophic personal injuries and sexual assault. She also defends health care professionals before state licensing and disciplinary boards. In over 25 years of practice, Ms. Andreson has earned an impeccable reputation for her strategic decision-making, preparation, and sound judgment. She has tried numerous cases to verdict in civil and criminal courts and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. She is recognized by Chambers and Partners and The Best Lawyers in America, and is an elected member of the American Law Institute.
Before joining Dinse, Ms. Andreson was an Assistant Attorney General for the Vermont Attorney General’s Office and a sex crimes prosecutor for the Chittenden County State’s Attorneys’ Office. She lives in South Burlington with her husband and two children.

- Obtained favorable jury verdict in wrongful death action for hospital accused of inadequate treatment of patient with substance use disorder
- Obtained favorable jury verdict on behalf of physician accused of consumer fraud arising out of surgical care of patient
- Obtained favorable jury verdict on behalf of hospital for alleged breach of medical privacy involving obstetrical patient
- Obtained favorable jury verdict in prosecution of criminal defendant charged with aggravated sexual assault
- Obtained favorable jury verdict in prosecution of criminal defendant charged with sexual assault of minor
- Obtained dismissal of wrongful death action for physician and hospital based on alleged failure to timely diagnose ovarian cancer
- Obtained dismissal of medical malpractice action for hospital arising out of alleged inadequate psychiatric treatment
- Successfully represented physician in Vermont Board of Medical Practice matter involving alleged medication dosing error
- Successfully represented physician in Vermont Board of Medical Practice matter arising out of alleged surgical error
