Bundled payments have been around for years, but we are seeing a resurgence of these payment arrangements in contracts. The speakers will describe the models of bundled payment that they are seeing in managed care contracts and the issues that arise in structuring these payments. They will also discuss how provisions of the Affordable Care Act are encouraging these bundled payment structures and the regulatory hurdles to be wary of when designing them. Finally, they will discuss the state regulatory issues in New Hampshire and Vermont as they affect bundled payments.
