Afi Ahmadi Authors Chapter on Commercial Lending
Afi Ahmadi authored a chapter on Vermont commercial lending law and practices for the first edition of Commercial Lending Law, A State by State Guide, published by the American Bar Association in July, 2009.  Mr. Ahmadi regularly represents Vermont banks and secured lenders in financing transactions, as well as out-of-state lenders in connection with Vermont laws affecting lending activities.

Leigh Cole Authors Chapter on Student/Scholar Immigration
Leigh Cole authored a chapter on  Immigration for Students & Scholars for the book Annual Review of Higher Education Law & Policy: Major Developments from 2008, to be published in March 2009 by the Council on Law in Higher Education (CLHE).  Sarah Curry, a paralegal with the firm's Immigration and Higher Education practice groups, contributed to the article.  Ms. Cole and Ms. Curry are members of NAFSA: Association of International Educators; Ms. Cole also is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

Karen McAndrew and Elizabeth Kleinberg Author Book Chapters
Karen McAndrew and Elizabeth Kleinberg authored a chapter on Vermont law for the desk reference entitled Business Torts:  A Fifty-State Guide, 2009 Edition (Aspen Publishing, Inc.). 

Ms. McAndrew and Ms. Kleinberg also authored a chapter on Vermont employment law for the publication entitled 50 Employment Laws in 50 States, 2009 Edition (M. Lee Smith Publishers, LLC).

Global Employer Handbook

Leigh Cole edits Immigration Handbook

The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is finalizing its 2007-2008 Immigration and Nationality Law Handbook, published each year for AILA's annual conference.  An AILA member and Senior Editor of the Handbook, Leigh Cole has been asked to review and comment on articles on current topics in immigration for nurses and other health care professionals, participants in training programs, professionals in speciality occupations, and PERM labor certification, among others, for this year's edition.  The 2007-2008 Handbook will be available for purchase from AILA starting in June 2007, at click here.
