Description of Practice:
Mr. Gurtman advises individuals, closely-held businesses and non-profit organizations in both real estate and business transactions.   On the real estate side, he helps clients navigate Vermont's complex land use regulatory scheme and is involved in all aspects of land use permitting and planning, commercial lending and tax planning including §1031 exchanges.  He also counsels businesses and institutions in the negotiation of business contracts and software licensing agreements.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gurtman served as a law clerk for the Vermont trial courts in Chittenden and Addison Counties (2005-2006).
