Civil Litigation
Description of Practice
Nicole Andreson is a civil litigation attorney concentrating on professional liability and commercial disputes. Immediately before joining the firm, Ms. Andreson served as a Deputy State’s Attorney for the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office. During her four-year tenure at the State’s Attorney’s Office, Ms. Andreson prosecuted serious felonies, focusing on sexual assaults and crimes against children. She has substantial trial experience and is familiar with all phases of criminal litigation. Prior to prosecuting, Ms. Andreson worked for three years as an Assistant Attorney General for the Vermont Attorney General’s Office. While in this position, Ms. Andreson defended the State against lawsuits filed on behalf of inmates on a range of constitutional issues, including claims of excessive force and unlawful imprisonment. In defense of those claims, Ms. Andreson argued before the Vermont Supreme Court many times and conducted hearings in trial courts throughout the State.
